Festival of Romance, 2013

I popped onto the Festival of Romance website, and while I was browsing around, doing my usual dreaming of attending one day in the future, I had a light-bulb moment. I will be living in the UK by November! I could attend. It is just over two hours away from where I will be staying.

Many years ago, I applied for a job, I drove to Bedford, three days after passing my driving test. The interview was held in a hotel, the one hosting the Festival of Romance! I got the job, so the place has a special memory for me.

I have hinted that my birthday is shortly before the event, and how lovely it would be to have the funds to attend, as a birthday treat. Normally I would not have to worry, but leaving Cyprus, and setting up a new home in the UK, is hitting the pocket, and I don’t wish to be greedy! BUT … oh, what a dream it would be if I could make it. I would meet so many of my online writing friends. Folk I have known for years. What fun it would be, what a memory it would make. Here’s hoping. Oh, and they have Chocolate!

Have you ever been to the Festival of Romance, or something along those lines?
