Thank You For Being My Friend

This week is a week of goodbyes. Returning to the UK, and saying farewell to expat friends, and village ‘family’. It is an emotional time, and trying to express my thanks for their friendship is not easy, so I wrote for them instead. The picture is from the garden we will be leaving behind. Aphrodite was a gift from my parents, and as dad passed away in October, I cannot leave her behind. She is chipped and weathered but is part of the hard work we put into the huge field we landscaped into something beautiful.
