jillsanderscrop250Jill Sanders survived 80’s pop music, and life as an identical twin in a chaotic family of nine.  A feat by any standard!  She was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, relocating to Colorado for college and a successful IT career at IBM in Boulder.

Narrowly escaping before all creativity was squashed, she jumped at the chance to trade the mundane world of computers for the sexy, exciting world of her own imagination.  She now lives in charming rural Texas writing wonderful novels such as the Pride series.

Her debut novel, Finding Pride, was shortlisted in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards 2013, and has received glowing industry and reader reviews from around the world.  Her latest release is Discovering Pride. Yet another novel, Returning Pride, is slated for July 2013.

About Glynis Smy

I live in the UK, in the seaside town of, Dovercourt~Harwich, where I enjoy writing novels. I've written historical romance/suspense, Medical romance and my latest WIP is in the crime genre. The Victorian era fascinates me and the best part of writing a novel is often the research. Proud writing moments in my life: Shortlisted for Festival of Romance Fiction 2014 New Talent Award Reaching second round of Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award 2014 Maggie's Child: reached #1 Amazon best-seller: Historical Romance Victorian /February 2014/ebook & book paid list. May 2014 #3 Historical Romance Victorian, and #25 in Historical Romance paid top 100 best-seller list. Top 100 in three categories on Amazon UK best-seller listings in 2015. Seeing my books in a Suffolk (UK), library. Over the years I've written short stories in a variety of genres. I've also won a few poetry contests, my first was at the age of twelve, (a poem about the Bangladeshi war). I also won a children's short story competition where the prize was a first-aid box, I was so proud but my husband found it amusing because we owned two pharmacies. My articles have been published in magazines both in the UK and Cyprus. I am also featured in various places on-line. When I am not writing, I enjoy making greetings cards, Cross Stitch, fishing and the company of my little granddaughters.

    Wonderful, thanks for this.

  2. Congratulations, Jill!

I’ve taught this precojt for 6-7 years now, first with high school, now with the middle school. If the correct technique is used, it comes out awesome. This includes overlapping lines to create value, starting each arc where you left off to avoid “paperclips and mushrooms”, changing direction to create movement, and varying size from small to large (and back again) to create the appearance of depth and moving back in space or coming forward. I like the work in just b/w as the color can distort the value of the overlapping lines-arcs.

  4. majoritysomeoneYep…it’s irritating. Notice that the vast of them also do not know how to spell, write a full sentence, or form an idea from their own brain. It seriously scares me at times how (dare I say) stupid they can be at times. As for just the homework….it isn’t the kids asking for help because they dont ask for ‘help’. They want to find someone to do their work for them. But of course they are so clever to get else to do the work for them *rolls eyes and shakes head in shame*Personally, I feel that Yahoo needs to create a seperate site for kids under 18. If it isn’t homework help, it’s someone asking “Could I be pregnant? I had sex yesterday, but not for very long”. Or it’s “My period is light, but I’m leaking out green goo. What does that mean?” Or “Do you think he likes me? How do I tell? I’m dating his best friend’s ex best friend’s brother, although I’ve slept with all of them” Or my personal disfavorite “Do I look pretty? Do you think I need to lose weight? What matches my boots…I have green eyes and brown hair, and I really want to impress this guy with how stylish I am.”
