I Am Interviewed For A Change & Sunday

If you find yourself with nothing to do this weekend, why not drop over to, Authors to Watch and read the interview I recently had with, Tricia Drammeh. I interview so many folk it was a pleasure to be interviewed myself for a change.

On Sunday evening I meet in London with, Jessica Bell, Talli Roland, Les Moriarty, Alison Morton and a few other authors I have never heard of, and look forward to meeting. I am staying in a little place overnight and arrive in the city around mid-day. I intend to use the time before the meet up to visit the Victoria and Albert museum for a bit of inspiration. The V&A Garden

I am looking forward to meeting Talli and Les again, we met at the Festival of Romance in 2013. Jessica and Alison, I have never met and am excited by the prospect of saying hello face-to-face. The London Book Fair takes place next week but I am unable to attend, I was determined to meet Jessica when she flew in from Athens, Greece, though!

The Festival of Romance 2014 is being held in September and I intend to attend again. It is in a town, Leighton Buzzard, and I have never been there, so that will be a good break.

I have been busy reorganising my files and writing system this past month, hopefully I will be able to use the Scrivener software to its fullest. I couldn’t get to grips with it before, but something clicked into place and I am working the novel a different way. Fingers crossed it all pans out in the end. The End is not quite in sight for, The Penny Portrait, but it is getting closer.

About Glynis Smy

I live in the UK, in the seaside town of, Dovercourt~Harwich, where I enjoy writing novels. I've written historical romance/suspense, Medical romance and my latest WIP is in the crime genre. The Victorian era fascinates me and the best part of writing a novel is often the research. Proud writing moments in my life: Shortlisted for Festival of Romance Fiction 2014 New Talent Award Reaching second round of Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award 2014 Maggie's Child: reached #1 Amazon best-seller: Historical Romance Victorian /February 2014/ebook & book paid list. May 2014 #3 Historical Romance Victorian, and #25 in Historical Romance paid top 100 best-seller list. Top 100 in three categories on Amazon UK best-seller listings in 2015. Seeing my books in a Suffolk (UK), library. Over the years I've written short stories in a variety of genres. I've also won a few poetry contests, my first was at the age of twelve, (a poem about the Bangladeshi war). I also won a children's short story competition where the prize was a first-aid box, I was so proud but my husband found it amusing because we owned two pharmacies. My articles have been published in magazines both in the UK and Cyprus. I am also featured in various places on-line. When I am not writing, I enjoy making greetings cards, Cross Stitch, fishing and the company of my little granddaughters.

Hi Glynis .. sorry not doing places for my coast theme – so Dovercourt doesn’t feature! But how great you’re meeting up with the others and re-seeing Talli and Alison .. that’ll be great to hear about …

Leighton Buzzard .. sounds a quaint town .. with a bit of history .. enjoy the Festival of Romance later in the year …

Here’s to Sunday night – have fun .. cheers Hilary

  2. Glynis – Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Hope you thoroughly enjoy it. Now, off to read your interview.

Glynis… I read and enjoyed the interview! Your world travels and writing base (at your home location) are just as interesting it seems, as any character or plot twist that has ever sprung forth from the mind of your gifted authorship. So wonderful to have met you via the internet, and to have secured the honor of having my book (You2Preneur) included in your library. P.S. I did try and send you the small required fee and ran into difficulties that I believe are tied to the computer. May I have your postal address to ensure that you receive the stipend?!!! Thanks, and congrats again on all your accomplishments. dee VANAD

Very kind! And I will continue to follow and support your career. I am appearing at an author’s fair on May 3rd. My book’s submitted synopsis mentions your name as a credit (for my recent interview on your site). I’m working on more novels too, and certainly have folks like you to thank for continued inspiration.

Awesome!!! Would it be possible to request an author interview from Tricia? My writing partner and I are working on a dystopian trilogy.

    Thanks! This sounds interesting! 🙂
