Self -Publishing Your Book – Jessica Bell Knows How. Oh, and a Prize Up For Grabs!

Today is launch day of Jessica Bell‘s book, SELF-PUBLISH YOUR BOOK: A Quick and Easy Step-by-Step Guide.20150518_100325

I had the privilege of working through this book to see if it flowed okay etc. Well, not only did it flow well, I found so many time saving tips inside I was like a child in a sweetie (candy) shop (store).

As you know, I am self-published my books and due to a limited budget I have to organise my interiors myself. I’ve purchased templates but they always have a glitch for me to spend hour after hour trying to iron out. It is time consuming and frustrated.

If only this book had been out years ago! In fact, I told Jessica just that and she used the quote on the front cover! You probably heard the squeal of delight when I found out.

20150518_112120 20150518_112130Did I tell you that is the second book I’ve had a quote mentioned on the front page? Anne Allen used my quote on her book, Guernsey Retreat. I was touched by her gesture and delighted as my family originated from the islands. She didn’t know that snipped of news. Anyway, I’m waffling … where was I? oh yes, Jessica’s book. I’d like to offer out a copy as a prize but you do have to earn it, sorry!

I have published four novels and each one has a female character as first POV – what are their names? Like my work there might be a twist to the question.

List the answer – and the book they are from – in the comments and I will pop your names into my virtual hat.  Mother will pull out a name and I will post to the winner wherever they live in the world.

I've also won a few poetry contests, my first was at the age of twelve, (a poem about the Bangladeshi war). I also won a children's short story competition where the prize was a first-aid box, I was so proud but my husband found it amusing because we owned two pharmacies. When I am not writing, I enjoy making greetings cards, Cross Stitch, fishing and the company of my little granddaughters.
